How to get Perun: Random pull from any Core Crystal (Common/Rare/Legendary) with Rex, Nia, Zeke, or Mòrag — the wiki lists her source simply as "Random Core Crystal" and states no specific pull odds. Rarity 2 Rare Blade designed by Takahiro Kimura (Code Geass).

Chapter 5 or later
Xeno Series Wiki: Chapter 5 (after Zeke joins — the quest is received at Argentum's Central Exchange, no Tantal access needed). Fandom's table files it under Chapter 7. Mid-quest steps require Tantal (Chapter 6+).
How the quest unlocks
Read the notice board at the Central Exchange in Goldmouth, Argentum (a missing-children ad catches Perun's eye). Requirements: Perun's Key Affinity level 4 unlocked (Fandom); Xeno Series Wiki additionally requires her exclusive Chivalry field skill at level 2 (use Chivalry in merc missions x5) and Nia, Tora, Mòrag, Zeke, and Perun in the party. Her Key Affinity path: Lv 2 = perform any 3 "small good deeds" from a fixed list, Lv 3 = 1,300 Trust, Lv 4 = 3,800 Trust.

  • Fortitude + Superstrength Lv 2 check to reach Siarmal's group in the Ether Control Tower attic of the Old Factory (Xeno Series Wiki)

Walkthrough

  1. Read the Central Exchange notice board in Argentum with Perun in the party, then talk to Silas near the Goldmouth Flight Deck.
  2. Ask around for information on Argentum's first floor (four NPCs), then report back to Silas.
  3. Dispatch the merc mission "Child Disappearances" — Perun must be squad leader, with 1 Wind Mastery, 1 Ancient Wisdom, and 1 Chivalry Blade (20 minutes base).
  4. Talk to Perun at Fonsa Myma Port in Uraya, then to Darryth in the Commercial District.
  5. Talk to all three witnesses: Lacie (Entertainment District), Celtie (Commercial District), and Daffydd (Gwenith Paddies).
  6. Search the area around Lake Varna (passing a Water Mastery + Fortitude Lv 1 field skill check to get there) and defeat the Tronk Aligo (Lv 46).
  7. Talk to Dianna in the Commercial District, then search for Martal's parents in Theosoir, Tantal.
  8. Head to Genbu Port in Tantal AT DAWN and defeat the Drivers there (the Edin Driver and Radys Drivers).
  9. Gather information at Port Anangham in Mor Ardain, then head to the Old Factory — Skip Travel inside the factory is disabled until the quest ends, and Perun LEAVES the party here for reconnaissance.
  10. Rescue all four groups of captured children, each guarded by a Driver: Maqqa (Work Observation Tower 2F — Zohak Driver), Vend (Quality Control Tower top floor — Gardyll Driver), Wotawota (Nopon Workers' Quarters — Rafut Driver), and Siarmal (Ether Control Tower attic, behind a Fortitude + Superstrength Lv 2 check — Brams Driver).
  11. Rejoin Perun at the Artificial Blade Adjustment room and defeat the 3 Drivers — Vallent Driver (~Lv 50) with a Zohak and a Gardyll Driver (~Lv 48, per Neoseeker); Perun rejoins the party.
  12. Chase Dr. Castrofari to Bulge Harbor and defeat the 7 Lindwurm soldiers (3 Lindwurm Falcons, 2 Hinds, 1 Drake, 1 Cougar; ~Lv 48-51) to take him into custody.

Good to know

  • The infamous gate is BEFORE the quest: Key Affinity Lv 2 needs any 3 "small good deeds" from a fixed list (e.g. pay Hirkham's 15G mooring fee in Chapter 1, give Olivio a Coral Nopon Chess Set, give Miney a Golden Cylinder, buy Nazya's Heart Cookies, throw 500G from Milama Viewpoint, have Mòrag lead step 2 of Judicium's Legacy, feed the Nopon Sage). Deeds done before awakening her still count; a pre-1.3.0 bug could permanently freeze this counter.
  • The Genbu Port ambush only triggers at dawn — rest or change the in-game clock, or you will stand in an empty port wondering what is wrong.
  • For the Old Factory finale Perun is OUT of your party and Skip Travel inside is disabled; at Bulge Harbor, getting knocked off the ledge is an automatic loss (Neoseeker), so fight away from the edge.
