Chapter 5 or later
Both wikis state Chapter 5 (Xeno Series Wiki: after the party arrives in Indol) for Nature Boy and its prerequisite Unspoken Suspicion — but the collection objectives span areas first visited in Chapters 6–7, so expect to finish later.
How the quest unlocks
Long chain, no simple node: (1) raise Floren's Key Affinity to level 5 (9,800 Trust) and his exclusive Beguiling Charms field skill to Lv4; (2) use Beguiling Charms Lv1 on Gheena at the west tip of Gwenith Paddies to receive the Silver Pendant key item; (3) with Nia, Tora, Mòrag, Mythra and Floren in the party, approach the Saffronia tree at Gwenith Paddies to trigger the short quest 'Unspoken Suspicion' (defeat the Angry Durro — Lv 33 per Xeno Series Wiki, Lv 39 per Fandom — and the Lv 34 Ganaf Driver); Nature Boy then activates automatically. Completing Nature Boy unlocks Beguiling Charms Lv5 on his chart.

Walkthrough

  1. After Unspoken Suspicion's fight at the Saffronia tree, Nature Boy begins automatically: the tree has been mysteriously poisoned and Floren vows to heal it.
  2. Speak to Cedwyn in Grodd Residential Zone, Gormott — a Beguiling Charms Lv1 field-skill check.
  3. Collect the medicine ingredients across four regions: 5 Olsteprinium flowers in Temperantia, 5 Frozen Sapphires in Spirit Crucible Elpys, 3 Amber Leaves in Mor Ardain, and 10 Ghost Dudleyas in Tantal; report back to Cedwyn.
  4. Speak to Elgo at Saets Lumber Co. in Gormott (daytime only), gather 5 Healing Teak in Gormott, and report to Elgo to receive the Antidesiccant medicine.
  5. Use the medicine on the Saffronia tree at Gwenith Paddies, Uraya.
  6. Defeat Angry Durro's group of 3 (Durro plus a Narb Driver and a Ganaf Driver) when the mercenaries interrupt at Gwenith Paddies.
  7. Rush around Uraya's stomach extinguishing the fires the mercs set: two spots at Fonsa Myma Waters and one at Minnet Terrace.
  8. Head to Blossomshade Cliff and win the final 4-enemy fight — Angry Durro, Angry Rvano, and the Narb and Ganaf Drivers — to finish; the locals thank 'the young lady' and Floren realizes they thought he was a girl all along.

Good to know

  • Nearly all the work is BEFORE the quest exists: 9,800 Trust for Key Affinity 5 plus Beguiling Charms Lv4 plus the Silver Pendant just to trigger Unspoken Suspicion. If nothing happens at the Saffronia tree, check the exact five-member party: Nia, Tora, Mòrag, Mythra and Floren.
  • Don't start expecting a quick finish — the ingredient list spans Temperantia, Spirit Crucible Elpys, Mor Ardain and Tantal, i.e. Chapter 7 access.
  • Elgo at Saets Lumber Co. only appears during the day.
