Crossette

Quest: “Bright Spark” — Leftherian Archipelago — Fonsett Residential Area (Fonsett Village); quest giver is the NPC Lettina. The quest itself runs through Ysheva Harbor, the Isle of Urchon and Lud Cloudway: Fonsett.

Fire Bitball HLR From Chapter 10

How to get Crossette: Expansion Pass DLC (New Rare Blade Pack 2, added with Patch Ver. 1.5.1). Installing the pack grants the Key Item 'A Firecracker of a Gal', after which Crossette is awakened from the dedicated Ebullient Core Crystal — a guaranteed pull, not a random one. Rare Blade, rarity 2.

How the quest unlocks
NPC trigger: speak to Lettina in the Fonsett Residential Area. Requires Chapter 10 started and Crossette plus the Aegis in the party — Fandom's infobox says Pyra, while Xeno Series Wiki's data-mined list instead requires Mythra (with Nia, Tora, Mòrag, Zeke and Poppi α); you can swap Pyra/Mythra freely in Chapter 10, so bring whichever works. Also requires Crossette's Affinity Chart at Lv. 5 (Key Affinity 5 = 4,000 total Trust), and Crossette's exclusive field skill Ardent Cooking at Lv. 4. Ardent Cooking is raised by talking to four specific NPCs, each needing specific party members (see other requirements).
Field skill checks
  • Ardent Cooking Lv. 4 required BEFORE the quest can start (no field-skill checks during the quest itself)
Also required
  • Chapter 10 started
  • Crossette and Pyra in the party
  • Crossette's Affinity Chart Lv. 5 (4,000 total Trust)
  • Ardent Cooking Lv. 1: speak to Lenka in Galad Residential Zone, Gormott (requires Nia and Pyra)
  • Ardent Cooking Lv. 2: speak to Rami in Admar Storage Zone, Mor Ardain (requires Mòrag and Pyra)
  • Ardent Cooking Lv. 3: speak to Nascion in Fonsett Village's residential area, Leftheria (requires Mythra)
  • Ardent Cooking Lv. 4: speak to Elvira in Theosoir's Residential Area, Tantal (requires Zeke and Pyra)

Walkthrough

  1. Raise Ardent Cooking to Lv. 4 via the four NPC conversations (Lenka in Gormott with Nia+Pyra; Rami in Mor Ardain with Mòrag+Pyra; Nascion in Fonsett with Mythra; Elvira in Tantal with Zeke+Pyra) and get Crossette's chart to Lv. 5.
  2. With Crossette and Pyra in the party, speak to Lettina in the Fonsett Residential Area — her children and husband went out and have not returned.
  3. Go to Ysheva Harbor and search for Nascion and Raimond; you find Raimond collapsed, who reveals the children (Nascion, Arrin and Erina) were carried off by Ignas.
  4. Go to the Isle of Urchon and defeat the Igna group holding the children: Dross Igna (Lv. 59), Larm Igna (Lv. 59) and Scram Igna (Lv. 60).
  5. Chase the Gigalid Igna that fled toward Lud Cloudway: Fonsett and defeat it (Lv. 66) together with its Scram, Trauv and Riot Igna escorts — Crossette charges in alone in the cutscene, but the whole party fights.
  6. Return to Fonsett Village and speak with Lettina to complete the quest.

Good to know

  • The real gate is the Ardent Cooking NPC chain, and the party requirements alternate: three NPCs need Pyra but Nascion specifically needs MYTHRA — if a conversation won't trigger, you almost certainly have the wrong Aegis form active.
  • The wikis disagree on which Aegis form must accompany Crossette when talking to Lettina (Fandom: Pyra; Xeno Series Wiki's datamine: Mythra plus a full roster) — if the trigger fails, swap Aegis forms and fill the party.
  • The Lv. 66 Gigalid Igna at Lud Cloudway is noticeably above the Lv. 59-60 enemies earlier in the quest — don't assume the first fight's difficulty carries over.
